    Major Flood Warning For The Weir River And Moderate Flood Warning For The Macintyre River

    SMALL RENEWED RISES AND MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT GOONDIWINDI AND BOGGABILLA ON THE MACINTYRE RIVER
     MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT TALWOOD ON THE WEIR RIVER
     Small renewed river level rises are occurring across parts of the Weir and Macintyre river catchments overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
     Rainfall of between 5 - 10 mm has been observed in the catchment area since 9am Thursday morning, with isolated higher totals observed in upper parts of the Weir River catchment.
    
    Dumaresq River:
    Small river level rises are occurring along parts of the Dumaresq River and its tributaries from recent rainfall. Minor flood levels are slowly rising on the lower Dumaresq River at Bengalla.
    The Dumaresq River at Texas is currently at 4.10 metres (below minor) and steady.
    The Dumaresq River at Texas is likely to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m) Friday morning, but further small rises remain possible from forecast rainfall.
    
    Macintyre Brook:
    River rises are occurring along parts of the Macintyre Brook and tributaries.
    The Macintyre Brook at Inglewood Bridge is currently at 3.50 metres and rising (below the minor flood level which is 5.00 m) .
    The Macintyre Brook at Inglewood Bridge may exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) early Friday morning.
    
    Macintyre River downstream of Holdfast:
    Minor to moderate flooding is occurring along the Macintyre River between New Kildonan and Goondiwindi. Recent heavy rainfall has caused small renewed river level rises in the Boggabilla and Goondiwindi area.
    The Macintyre River at Boggabilla is currently at 5.85 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
    Small river level rises are likely through to Saturday. At this stage, the Macintyre River at Boggabilla is expected to remain below the moderate flood level (11.50 m) during the next few days.
    
    The Macintyre River at Goondiwindi is currently at 5.99 metres and steady, with moderate flooding.
    The Macintyre River at Goondiwindi is expected to remain around the moderate flood level (6.00 m) Friday morning, with further small renewed rises possible over the next few days from forecast rainfall and as further flood waters arrive from upper parts of the catchment.
    
    Weir River to Giddi Giddi South:
    Small river level rises from rainfall during Thursday afternoon are occurring across parts of the upper reaches of the Weir River and the Wyaga, Commoron and Yarrill Creek catchments overnight Thursday into Friday. Moderate flood levels further downstream at Giddi Giddi South are easing slowly.
    Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South:
    Major flooding remains at high levels along the lower Weir River between Surrey and Jericho. Major flooding is also occurring further downstream at Mascot overnight Thursday into Friday.
    The Weir River at Talwood is currently at 4.40 metres and steady at 6pm Thursday, with major flooding.
    Further small rises up to 4.50 metres are possible during Thursday and Friday as upstream floodwater continues to arrive. River levels at Talwood are currently above the September 1998 flood peak of 4.36 metres.
